Savor a spicy twist on a classic with Chili Oil Vodka Pasta, blending al dente penne with the fiery kick of HOT JIANG® O.G. Spicy chili oil, enriched with creamy vodka sauce and topped with fresh parsley and parmesan.
Chili Oil Vodka Pasta
1 pound uncooked penne pasta
3 Tbsp. oil from Hot Jiang® O.G. Spicy chili oil
2 (3.5 ounce) links sweet Italian sausage
4 cloves garlic, minced
2.5 Tbsp. solids from Hot Jiang® O.G. Spicy chili oil
1 (28 ounce) can crushed tomatoes
¾ tsp. salt
½ cup heavy whipping cream
2 Tbsp. vodka
¼ cup chopped fresh parsley
Parmesan cheese, for serving
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add penne and cook, stirring occasionally, until al dente, about 11 minutes. Drain and set aside.
Heat oil from Hot Jiang® O.G. Spicy chili oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Remove casing from sausage and add to the skillet. Cook and stir until crumbly and brown, 5 to 7 minutes. Add garlic and Hot Jiang® O.G. Spicy chili oil solids; cook and stir until garlic is golden brown.
Add in tomatoes and salt, then bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes.
Mix in the cream and vodka. Bring to boil then reduce heat to low and add pasta; toss for 1 minute.
Stir in parsley and top with parmesan cheese. Enjoy with more Hot Jiang® O.G. Spicy chili oil for an extra kick!
